Few times a year I run Learn Photography Workshops. In August 2023 I ran Artistic Portraits Workshop in Tauranga, New Zealand.
So sad it turned out to be my last workshop in NZ, at the end of the year I had to pack my studio and go on another journey.
This workshop was different from my two previous, I loved organizing this new format with two online (altogether 4.5h) webinars and one offline 3.5h shoot. I ran through a lot of useful information from how to find an idea for creative shoot, to how to edit images to achieve artistic look.
Lots of fun on the shoot with 2 models with professional makeup and hair, and different colour schemes. It was great to have 2 models among 8 photographers, so everyone could have some time to shoot one-on-one.
I guided attendees through the shoot, showed them how I build up an image, explained lighting, composition, posing etc. We also threw some fabric to create magical shots.
I loved seeing attendees' photos posted. That's what this workshop is all about - learn how, practice, create amazing shots for portfolio, and connect with like-minded.

Attendees appreciated that the workshop was split into 3 parts, in that way it's easier to absorb information, have it organised in their minds before they have to go out and put it into practice.
After the shoot we had social dinner that was optional to attend. We had a great time over Chinese food and exchanged some ideas, and tips and tricks about photography business.
