Hi, I'm Karolina, an award-winning creative photographer. I have formal education in civil engineering, and worked in the office for about 6 years.
I realised that office job in engineering doesn't fulfill my creative urges. I was just being incredibly bored at my job. I felt how life is leaving my soul every day. Corporate world was truly soul crushing for me.
I can't stand routine and need constant creative flow to be let out. I started to paint and loved it a lot. But with full time job in the office, I didn't have enough time for hobbies and life.

I am Russian born in Kazakhstan. I moved to NZ in my twenties on my own and I felt lonely and lost. Change of country kept me in the office for a bit longer.
In 2020 during lockdown I had some quiet time to stop and re-think my life and what I want.
Before 2019 I had never had a camera. I worked day and night to learn this new skill from styling the shoot and using camera, to editing images. This helped me to go through 5 years gap when I couldn't visit my family (it was harder than anything).
I have a purpose to create beauty. Each shoot is a chance for me to let out my creativity. I can never enjoy boring routine shoots. I am not ready to settle for ordinary. I'm here to create something incredible, something that makes people gasp when they look at my work, and think "How the hell did she do that?".
I started with creative empowering portraits for women. But soon I realised I can't take too many shoots because making people feel confident and empowered in front of the camera drain so much of my introverted energy.
Then I tried product and food photography and it was it. It is way easier for me to work on my own and let that energy go into my creativity.
